6XL NPC: The Wannabe Trainer

Name: Michael Kennedy (Prefers Kennedy or Ken)

Gender: Male

Age: 10

Height: 4'3"

Personality: Ken loves to see pokemon battles and thinks that being able to participate in them is the best thing in the world. Though living in Styx he doesn't get to see many of them. He gets excited when he gets to see new pokemon, especially big strong looking pokemon. He believes that all strong pokemon should know hyper beam or else it's not as cool as it could be.

When he's not raving about battles he can be found wandering around exploring different places (most likely skipping homeschool classes).

Brief History: Ken has lived in Styx his whole life. He lives with his mother and his father's job keeps him away from home most of the time. When his mother told him about her days as a trainer, Ken became insipired to be a trainer just like her.

However Ken knows very little about the world of pokemon. He's really bad at remembering moves, knows few type advantages/disadvantages, and has little exposure to different types of pokemon. As such his mother thought it would be best for him to stay at home longer as she tries to teach him. She doesn't want to send him to the boarding school as she thinks it's too harsh for him, so she tutors him at home when she's not working.

Misc:

-Ken is convinced that Cadock knows Hyper Beam and constantly asks him to use it. When Cadock refuses he gets pretty upset.

-He's never actually seen a Hyper Beam.

-Tends to tell people that he's an excellent trainer to impress them. This usually doesn't end well.

-Only his mom calls him by his full name when he's in big trouble

Name: Cadock

Species: Metagross

Gender: Male

Nature: Calm

Characteristic: Capable of taking hits

Ability: Clear Body

Moveset:

-Magnet Rise
-Agility
-Meteor Mash
-Psychic

Misc: Ken got Cadock as a gift from his mother. Cadock was originally his mother's pokemon but she passed him down as a means to look after and protect Ken when she's not around. For the most part, Ken uses Cadock as a means of transportation if he's wandering around for a long distance or he needs to get somewhere quickly. When it comes to battles, Cadock tends to ignore Ken's (mostly incorrect) commands. In fact, he doesn't like to waste his energy on battles unless it's a dangerous situation and Ken needs protection. He is a confident and competent figher though if he can, he chooses to walk away from battles.

Extra
-Cadock has two spikes on the rectangular ridges of his legs.
-He is the only one of Ken's pokemon that fully understands Ken and vice versa.



Name: Matilda

Species: Wobbuffet

Gender: Female

Nature: Docile

Characteristic: Scatters things often

Ability: Shadow Tag

Moveset:
-Counter
-Mirror Coat
-Safeguard
-Destiny Bond

Misc: While Ken was out exploring one day, this sweet, little Wobbuffet saw him from afar and thought he was the most adorable thing ever. Since then she followed him around, coddling and babying him as if he were her son. And so, Matilda was the first pokemon that Ken "caught". She isn't big on fighting, but if Ken needed her help she'd be willing to step in to the fray.

Extras:
-Matilda doesn't like Ken's mom and becomes very protective of him when she's around. However his mom doesn't feel threatened by her actions and in fact finds this endearing and amusing.

-She thinks that Cadock is a big, stuffy old fellow and teases him about it. But she honestly enjoys his company and especially appreciates his devotion to Ken's safety.

-She's a little clumsy.</sub>
